The 2005 Topps Series 2 Baseball Hobby Box features a sealed collection of sports trading cards, specifically focused on baseball. This box includes cards from the 2005 season, featuring player Justin Verlander in his rookie year. As a sought-after collector’s item, this sealed hobby box offers a unique opportunity to own a piece of baseball history with the potential to include valuable cards and potentially a rare Justin Verlander rookie card.
He did get the FF card. I was a baseball card dealer in the 1980’s and 1990’s. It has sat on a shelf in my store room for 37 years. I decided to open the case and sell the boxes (20) one at a time. Each box contains 36 packs. Each pack contains 15 cards and 1 sticker. There are 540 cards in a box and 36 stickers. Make sure to look at all the photos of the factory sealed case box from all sides and the factory security tape still sealed on the top and bottom. The 5 number code stamped on this box is 83501. The last number 1 is the production or batch identifier. This case was processed the middle of December in 1988. It has been opened on Monday, January 19th 2026. This is a very early production case. The Billy Ripken will be the “FF” variation. I always get excited being part of a Baseball Card Treasure Hunt!
